Viola Lessons

Strings encapsulate the fundamental ideals of the Suzuki Method, as they encourage playing with others in a group community. The Viola Program includes individual lessons as well as group lessons. Participating in regular concerts builds confidence as a performer, and increase enjoyment of playing music with the guidance of your HSSM instructor.

With individual music lessons, you will work one-on-one with a long-time teacher and professional musician, to help develop basic to advanced skills, with opportunities to learn theory, sight-reading and ear training. The Suzuki Method prepare players for performances and can prepare for conservatory testing.

Based on the tradition of the Suzuki Method, students at the HSSM benefit from an approach designed to ensure their success as they transition from beginners to full-fledged musicians! The HSSM also provides ample opportunities to perform in its seasonal concerts.

Many of our students move on to post-secondary school in music. Whether you are a beginner, have previous experience or preparing for post-secondary studies, the HSSM Viola Program can help achieve your goals!
