PROGRAMS

Cello

With individual music lessons, you will work one-on-one with a Suzuki trained professional musician, to help develop basic to advanced skills, with opportunities to learn theory, sight-reading and ear training. The Suzuki Method prepare players for performances and can prepare for conservatory examinations.

As part of the strings section of the orchestra, the cellist plays in groups like Quartets and other ensembles and takes centre stage in the occasional solo.

Based on the tradition of the Suzuki Method, students at the HSSM benefit from an approach designed to ensure their success as they transition from beginners to full-fledged musicians! The HSSM also provides ample opportunities to perform in its seasonal concerts.

Whether you are a beginner, have previous experience or preparing for post-secondary studies, the HSSM Cello Program can help achieve your goals! Build your confidence as a musician, and increase your enjoyment of playing music with the guidance of your HSSM instructor.
