PROGRAMS

Tiny Twinkles

Welcome to the Tiny Twinkles music program, an exciting early childhood music initiative where parent and child can discover the magic of music together! Designed for families with children ages 0-4, our program sets the stage for future instrument lessons, should your little one choose to pursue them. At home, parents can continue the fun by sharing music and creating memorable experiences through playful repetition.

Explore the Joy of Music with Tiny Twinkles!

Teacher/Parent Modelling: Encourages children to engage confidently and enthusiastically.
Wonder: Find wonder through music, sound and movement.
Intuition: Develop musical intuition.
Nurture: “Where love is deep, much can be accomplished” – Shinichi Suzuki
Kindness: Helps build a strong, supportive community among young musicians.
Listening: Play music at home, encourage children to explore their voice and sing.
Encouragement: You are your child’s number one cheerleader on their musical journey!

A Fun and Focused Learning Environment

Our Tiny Twinkles music program is set in a distraction-free setting. Children are free to express themselves and explore music through movement, singing, and listening. We’re proud to incorporate the renowned Suzuki Method, which nurtures every child’s ability to learn music. Our experienced team at The Hamilton Suzuki School of Music (HSSM) has proudly supported families for over 25 years, helping countless children transition into our instruction programs.

We blend the Suzuki ECE program, crafted by music educator Dorothy Jones, with ORFF methods to encourage a love for learning and emphasize the importance of collaboration among peers.

Begin Your Musical Journey Together

Our activities foster strong bonds between parents and children, instilling the essentials of music in a rich, engaging environment. The Suzuki Method teaches that every child can learn music, and we’re excited to show you how to create a stress-free learning experience, focusing on pulse, beat, rhythm, and melody. Parents and children will be introduced to a variety of instruments, so tots can begin exploring their musical preferences!

Who Can Join

We invite families with young children aged 0-4 to participate in our small group sessions, which ensure personal attention with a maximum of 10 children per class.

Meet Your Early Years Teacher

Michelle Odorico, BMus, MM, is a passionate teacher and a proud parent of four young children. Alongside her teaching of violin and Early Childhood Music Education, Michelle occasionally invites guest musicians to enrich the experience for you and your child!

Tiny Twinkles Music Program Class Etiquette

  • To ensure a focused and enjoyable experience, we encourage families with multiple children to bring one adult for each child.
  • We understand that children need to take a break from time to time; please take your child into the hall, to allow the rest of the class to continue.
  • If you will be absent from class, let your teacher know ahead of time.
  • No cell phones during class, to avoid interruptions.
  • If a child displays aggressive or defiant behaviour, you will be given one warning. If the offence is repeated, your child will be asked to leave for the remainder of that class.
