Danielle Musgrave-Bond

A native of Hamilton, Danielle received her Bachelor of Music degree from Wilfred Laurier University and her Master of Music in Performance degree from Portland State University in Oregon. Her teachers have included David Gerry, Dr. Marilyn Shotola and Dr. Amy Hamilton for flute as well as Virginia Blaha and June Caskey for piano. During her time in Oregon, Danielle performed in masterclasses for Amy Porter and Alberto Almarza as well as taught flute students at the university. She has had much experience playing in wind ensembles, orchestras, flute choirs, chamber groups and opera orchestras, as well as accompanying various choral groups.

Presently, she plays flute and piccolo with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Hamilton as well as with the duo Lyracana – a classical harp and flute ensemble she formed with fellow HSSM faculty member Siobhan Kerr.  Danielle has trained as a Suzuki teacher with David Gerry, Pandora Bryce, June Warhoftig, Kim Lorimier and Dorothy Jones and has completed a one-year internship with ECE teacher Sharon Jones. Danielle has a great deal of piccolo experience and was a former member of the Hamilton Children’s Choir. Her performing and teaching background includes flute and piccolo along with baroque flute, piano and voice.
