Curriculum

Early Education

• Early Childhood Education – a small group programme for children, 0-3 years of age and parents.  Classes meet once a week for an hour.

Instrumental Programme

• Offered in violin, viola, cello, classical guitar, harp, piano, flute, and voice preschool through adult.
• Consists of weekly private lessons, regular group lessons, concerts and recitals.
• Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation available.

Orchestra Programme

• Two levels of string orchestra offering both full orchestral and sectional instruction and musicianship.
• “Camerata,” a senior level touring group offering orchestral and sectional instruction.
• Instruments other than strings may be accomodated.
• Orchestra programmes are open to all qualified HSSM students.

Ensemble Programme

• Duets, trios and quartets;  various combinations of violin, viola, cello, guitar, harp, piano and flute.

Concerts

• Regular recitals and frequent concerts in the community.
