HSSM welcomes violinist Anita Hiripi Szigetine

The Hamilton Suzuki School of Music is delighted to welcome violin instructor Anita Hiripi Szigetine to its violin faculty. Anita is an enthusiastic and caring teacher with many years experience. Anita Hiripi is now accepting Suzuki students at all levels at HSSM. Please contact the school office for lesson information.

Anita Hiripi Szigetiné B. Mus (Hungary)
Hungarian violinist Anita Hiripi was born in Debrecen, Hungary. She was involved with music and dance from early age. Ms Hiripi ia a graduate of the Béla Bartók University of Music, Miskolc(Hungary). After graduation, Anita spent several years with the Debrecen Symphony, where a familiarity with the standard operatic and orchestral repertoire was firmly established. As an orchestra member Anita appeared in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Luxemburg, The Vatican, France, Austria, Tunisia, Denmark, Italy, and the Netherlands.

From 2000-2010, Anita was a member of the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra violin section, and on the faculty of the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory. In Lebanon Anita played many times with the L.N.S.O concerts at the famous Baalbeck, Boustan and Tyre festivals, sharing the stage with such renowned soloists and conductors as Placido Domingo, Roberto Alagna, Angela Gheorghiu, Barnabás Kelemen, Boris Berezovsky, Gert Albrecht, Sergio Croce, Paolo Olmi, Marco Parisotto, Eugene Kohn, Joseph Wilkomirsky, Alain Paris, Wojciech Czepiel, and Eraldo Salmieri,Robert Lehrebaumer, among others.

Since arriving in Canada in 2010, Anita has been involved in Hamilton musical life; she became a second principal violin player at the Hamilton City Ballet Orchestra and has participated in many chamber and orchestra concerts from Niagara on the Lake to Toronto. Anita also teaches at the HWDSB strings program , at the Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts School and at her Anita’s Music Studio. Along with her husband she established the Cricket Chamber Orchestra in 2014 .The summer of 2017 the Cricket Chamber Orchestra is invited to participate in the Szentendre Summer Music Festival in Hungary.

Anita received Suzuki teacher training in Columbus, Ohio with Linda Stieg.
